This is the beginning of my adventure serving full time at BigHouse Foundation. I will be working as the Program Director, overseeing our after-school programs and providing music therapy services.
I decided to name this blog My Radical Experience after reading David Platt's Radical. It is a fantastic and challenging book about faithfulness as a disciple of Christ. I'm committing to the Radical Experiment, so that in one year I will:
1) Read through the Bible
2) Pray for the entire world
3) Sacrifice my money for something specific
4) Spend my time in another context
5) Commit to multiplying community
My goal for this blog is to provide accountability for myself (and anyone else who wants to take on the Radical Experiment), update my friends and family about my life, and document this time in my life with stories and pictures that I can look back on, because, as the In Harmony craft girls know, scrapbooking isn't my spiritual gift.
I will try to keep a running tally of my status on the 5 aspects of the Radical Experiment.
